Hello, I am a Canadian photographer based in southern Ontario, Canada. Photography is a passion and hobby. I love photographing people, travel and scenics. My technical expertise came from formal college training as a forensic crime scene examiner, identification and photography specialist. I also served as an instructor developing courses for crime scene investigators and photography specialists that were accredited by the Province of Ontario.
After retirement in April of 2008, I ran a professional photography business for ten years. I am in full retirement now and downsized from full frame digital SLR cameras and studio gear to smaller Fujifilm mirrorless cameras to reduce weight and size for convenience. I rarely photograph events now, unless I am helping a local charity. Even so, I have included a few wedding galleries. Most of the wedding images are mine with a few by assistants, most often my good friend, Greg Gilmour, whom I worked with closely in my earlier profession and also in retirement, as we occasionally assisted each other at weddings.
My wife and I like to travel, taking scenics and maybe a little street photography too, with a photojournalistic style of street portraiture. Canada is a huge country and folks have said that there is no reason to travel anywhere until one has seen all of Canada from coast to coast. We travelled briefly to eastern Canada and will return, but we are still exploring our own province of Ontario where we keep discovering more beautiful places that I never knew existed. So please peruse the galleries and hopefully I will get to add new galleries as time progresses. Thanks for dropping by!
